Second Passport
In certain situations, the U.S. government will issue a second passport (valid for two years) to U.S. citizens. Generally this second passport is either issued to travelers that travel so frequently they need to have one in the consulates obtaining visas while traveling with the other – OR – it is issued to travelers that travel to Israel and also travel to Arab countries. If either of these situations apply to you, then you could be eligible for a second passport.

Second Valid Passport Application. Second passports are for U.S. citizens that need to have a second valid passport. You must either travel so much that one passport is in a consulate while you are traveling on the other passport, or you have an Israeli stamp on one passport while you need to travel to an Arab country. If you are applying for the second passport because of frequent travel, be prepared to show the State Department two upcoming itineraries.
