It is very important to understand passport processing times as we head into 2022.  If you apply at your local post office or county clerk the latest guidance from the State Department is that it will take 8 to 10 weeks for standard processing and 6 to 8 weeks for Expedited processing.  I would strongly recommend if you are going to apply using this route that you pay for overnight...
